SEO Trends – The Need for SEO Services Increases

As have been the SEO trends for years, Google is kind when it comes to search engine algorithms. Their requirements largely dictate how designers and content creators do their jobs and is the main factor in search engine optimization. After Panda updates were made to Google’s algorithm a couple of years ago (February 2011 to be precise), the world of SEO was turned upside down. Traditional tactics stopped working and new methods had to be developed.

First a Definition of What SEO is, then we can Talk About SEO Trends

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of growing the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a web page to users of a web search engine. SEO refers to the improvement of unpaid results (known as “natural” or “organic” results) and excludes direct traffic and the purchase of paid placement. Additionally, it may target different kinds of searches, including image search, video search, academic search, news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic. By May 2015, mobile search had surpassed desktop search. – Wikipedia

SEO TrendsIn recent years new SEO strategies have been developed and have proven to be effective. The main tactic is and always has been, “Give Google What it Wants” Some of these tactics include:

Authority Authors

By now, Google recognizes the most accomplished authors are the ones whose articles that rank high in their search results. The competition between SEO authors has increased dramatically as authors fight for top projects and recognition. Recognition for popular works is harder than ever to receive, as author bylines have been reduced in length by 15% and articles are usually published under SEO company’s names.

So the best SEO plan for 2020 and onward is to produce the best content that you can. No holding back and keeping the best information to yourself. If you don’t put it all out there, one or more of your competitors will and that will put your article in the shade.

Social Media Marketing

Social media is more important than ever to establish a brand and keep it relevant. Most social media managers are using an 80/20 or 90/10 formula for posting content. Using this formula, 80-90% of the content posted is unrelated to the company’s product information. Jokes, sayings, quotes, e-cards and anecdotes are published to fill the page, boost viewership and gain “likes” for the company page. The remaining 10-20% of social media posts pertaining to the company, its values, products, services, etc.

Good social media managers understand demographics and publish posts that are parallel with their target market’s interests, activities, problems and desires. They educated themselves and step into the shoes of the consumer. This has proven to be a very effective way of reaching a broad base of targeted potential customers. In 2013, nearly a quarter of website traffic was driven to websites by Facebook, and this trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Tactics are Broadening in Focus

It’s no longer effective to research a few keywords and choose four or five that have the lowest competition with the highest number of views. These days, keywords need to be many and varied. It is far wiser to cast a wide net to catch fish than to drop one line in the sea and hope for the best. Research at least 20 long-tail keywords that are related in concept.

SEO Writing

SEO articles are required to be much more natural, and keyword stuffing can hurt web ranking very badly. It’s no longer effective to hire cheap writing services to complete a job that needs to be performed by talented professionals. Articles should be factual and only contain one main keyword that is repeated, at the most, twice per every 500 words, though it does help to include related words and phrases. It is also effective to have articles of varying lengths, as this is more natural and effective for marketing to search engines and humans alike.

Without a doubt, SEO Trends are favouring companies who create content with intent and publish high-quality, relevant content. It pays to hire SEO companies who are recognized for hiring highly talented and accomplished writers and search engine optimization professionals.
